Lipstick
When girlie singers on TV get their hair stuck to their lipstick during a song, why don't they just pull it out of the way with a finger? Why do they shake their heads about hoping it will unstick, or just ignore it? It doesn't look more "professional" and it isn't fooling me AT ALL. I just sit shouting at the TV,

"Your hair is stuck to your lipstick and I'm feeling a bit sick now! Get it OFF you daft bitch!".

Ewww.

And why don't interviewers stop interviewing people who have white gunge forming in the corners of their mouths and tell them?

Fear of rabies?

Serves me right for trying not to swear, though technically speaking, rats could get rabies too.

That said, is Jeremy Paxman really going to say, "Your point about the failings of the current US administration's foreign policy in the Middle East is certainly incisive, Mr Putin, but you've got some schmutz on your lip, or is that a cold sore?"

Because if they touch their face, it cracks and falls off! They're so fragile, and eat nothing!

Because a) they're afraid that their plastic fingernail will also stick to the lipstick/hair and they will have to finish the number looking like the last person on earth who still mimes using a rotary dial phone, or b) they think it makes them look like they're in the throes of orgasm, which is apparently de rigeur for girlie singers these days, the dirty sluts.

Well, when you do the maths, 14 comments out of 800+ friends isn't really her best work. But, that being said, her mediocre work is better than most. ;-)

Interviewers feed on white grunge, lapping at it like hummingbirds, off-camera.

what, pause in the interview, and break the precious eye contact that is the only thing preventing the obviously ravenous, foaming interviewee from atttacking said interviewer. Not on your life.

All interviewers are trained to keep eye contact to the very end, then as they sign off back to the studio, or to a commercial break, or to "dear god anybody"; and then duck as the floor staff fire tranquilizing darts en masse at the crazed interviewee.

as for those singing tartlets, WestWorld androids don't notice hair stuck on lipstick.....

You clearly aren't up on the latest fashion. EVERYBODY sticks their hair to their mouth these days. It's considered incredibly attractive in America to think that a person is so concerned with keeping thin that they're actually willing to eat themself rather than go have a sammich.

The white stuff at the corner of the mouth is left there as natural adhesive to complement the lipstick in case the interviewee decides to tack a lock of hair on to their face during the interview.
