Ganked From [info]karnythia Who Is As Appalled As I Am
What in the name of FUCK is this woman THINKING?

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=21210578

I've known far too many people like her and I'm tired of being nice. If I met her I would do this:

1) Say "Brush your hair bitch!"

2) Punch her full in the face.

You're just intimidated by her plumage, admit it.

I admit that when I first saw this photo yesterday I was too bowled over by the awfulness of the dress to pay much attention to the hair. Maybe she figured it would blind people and she wouldn't have to worry about her hairstyle? It's also possible that she knows she doesn't photograph well but couldn't find a model who didn't scream and run away when they saw that thing. ;)

I guarantee you that is how much the yarn cost her. She also has a beautiful blue dress for sale (out of fabric, not yarn) that is only $100.

It's not worth knitting/crocheting anything for sale. Especially if you're going to go and do THAT.

Yes, for the yarn and the number of hours involved, that's a fair price.

Some people just shouldn't drop acid and have access to yarn.

The great thing about the Internet is that I can pretend women like her are loons who hide most of the time, and don't try to find men to hook up with on match.com or okcupid. Or, indeed, LJ...

Ahhahahha!
That's a truly wonderful jumper dress thing. That is what happens when you don't regulate the yarn industry and don't require licenses for crafting. Good taste laws get broken and civilian casualties spiral out of control.

The thing is, I think that piece of rainbow unicorn poo took a lot of time and effort.

The problem is, just because you work hard at something doesn't mean anyone else will want it.

Especially if it looks like unicorn poo.

She isn't hurting anyone (well, except for a few eyes). It's a perfectly harmless hobby to make hideous things, and then pretend you can sell them somewhere. Pretty much everyone's grandmother made hideous knit or crochet things. Only difference is that now everyone gets to see it, not just the grandkids.

Seriously, why is everyone being so fucking vicious about it? Yes, it's ugly. No, I wouldn't pay $600 for it. I wouldn't pay $10. But that doesn't make her a bitch, or worthy of abuse. If you want to abuse someone, maybe you should save the name calling & threats for people who actually harm you & yours.

1. If she refrains from brushing her hair for a sufficient period of time, it just gives her more free wool.

2. Why punch her in the face when it has so evidently happened many times before?
