Am I A Bad Mother?

My gay 9 year old (Brandon) has been home from school today, because he has been ill since Friday. He can't breathe properly, he has a sore throat, occasionally he shoots a high temperature and occasionally he vomits.

Brandon: Mum! Come here.

Me: Shut up! I'm reading LiveJournal.

Brandon: But I'm ill. Come and cuddle me, I need some love.

Me: Play Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

Brandon: You're horrible, I'm ill, I need love and you're ignoring me.

Me: I've already brought up two kids...The novelty is wearing off, especially when you're covered in germs.

Brandon: You're mean. You're a rubbish Mother.

This is what happens when you have a baby at 37. And the World's oldest Mother has just given birth at 67? That poor baby. I mean OK, she probably hasn't joined LJ yet and I think it is her first kid...But, you know, when you're older you just can't be bothered.
